CHILD FOCUS
(CASA OF PASSAIC & UNION COUNTIES)

CASA of Passaic and Union Counties is a program within Child Focus. It recruits, trains, and supervises volunteer advocates who work directly with children in foster care, ensuring they receive necessary services and are safe

The Westfield United Fund helps fund the Open Door Store, which provides new clothing, shoes and accessories, books, toys and personal care items for children and teens in the child welfare system. No money is ever accepted — children and their caretakers and advocates are able to shop for free.

“The Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) had placed two young sisters with a resource parent the night before.

Removed from their home due to allegations of severe neglect, the children arrived at their placement with nothing but the clothes they were wearing…

Could (Child Focus) help? Absolutely! Can she bring the girls now to the Open Door Store? Yes!”
