JCC OF CENTRAL NEW JERSEY
The JCC of Central NJ is a hub of the Scotch Plains/Westfield community and has a 118 year history of providing programs and services that educate, enrich and empower the community – from generation to generation. Agency leadership is committed to ensuring and enhancing programs and services for the most vulnerable in our community, including children with special needs.
The Westfield United Fund provides financial support for TWO programs at the JCC of Central New Jersey:
Camp Inclusion Program, empowering campers with special needs &
Senior Adult Program, providing social connections, nutritious meals, and more
”An inclusive summer camp model, where children with disabilities participate alongside their neurotypical peers creates a richer, more supportive, and transformative experience for everyone – campers, families, and staff. Children experience camp just like their peers. They gain social, emotional and independence skills.
Campers develop greater compassion, patience and appreciation for diversity.”

Camp Inclusion Program
"As older adults in our community age in place, they face the risk for isolation and loneliness, especially those who live alone.
Isolation and loneliness negatively impact health and well-being. Attending regularly scheduled social and recreational opportunities close to home at their local community center, eliminates this risk as friendships are formed and a supportive community
is built.”
