After School Tutoring
The Westfield United Fund works with the Westfield Public Schools to identify elementary students who are in need of extra academic support, but are unable to afford private tutoring. These children are invited to join "The Homework Club" and meet with a teacher at their school after the regular school day has ended. Working with small groups of students, the teachers guide them through the homework process, answering questions and explaining material. This assistance helps the students keep up with the rest of their peers in the classroom, which in turn helps everyone in the class move ahead together. For more information, please call our office at the number listed here, or contact any one of the Westfield elementary school principals.
