Volunteer Opportunities at Furniture Assist
Every Saturday except holiday weekends - We need volunteers each Saturday from 9:00am-3:00pm to help clients locate the items that they need. Clients are scheduled for one-hour periods to preserve social distance. Volunteers for both lifting jobs and non-lifting jobs are needed and volunteers can work any or all the hours and only on days they desire.
Every Sunday except holiday weekends - We need volunteers each Sunday from 9:00am-3:00pm on client days and 10:00am-2:00pm on donor days. Clients are scheduled for one-hour periods to preserve social distance. Donors are scheduled by day and will wait their turn to preserve distance. Volunteers for both lifting jobs and non-lifting jobs are needed and volunteers can work any or all the hours and only on days they desire.
Alternate Monday and Wednesday (weeks where both Saturday and Sunday are client days) - We need volunteers to sort items and put them on shelves and help organize the warehouse. Agencies will also come on those days to pick up household and baby items.
Other opportunities - Volunteers are needed to serve on our Board and/or advisory committees, write grants (we will help), plan special events or fundraisers, and represent Furniture Assist at community events (in person or by Zoom).
